I have mixed feelings about New Year. I always feel a little sad at midnight on New Year’s Eve; sad about the passing of another year and about the people who are no longer with us. And although Christmas doesn’t officially end until Twelfth Night, it marks the end of the festivities and the inevitable return to work.
On the flip side it also signals new beginnings, holiday plans, crisp new diaries and notebooks and resolutions. So it’s not all bad. It also provides an opportunity to reflect on the previous year and put in place new goals and targets.
